Ray Hajime Echigoshima

Ray Hajime Echigoshima and his family were incarcerated in Puyallup and then Minidoka. He left Minidoka in May 1943 to attend Washington University in St. Louis, joining his sister Margaret. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree he returned to Seattle. He then entered the University of Washington Law School and earned a LLB degree.

He worked for Boeing for more than 20 years and later worked for the Safeco Insurance Company as a Surety Counsel.

Ray Hajime Echigoshima married Ellen Hasegawa in Seattle in February 1955 and had two sons.

He died on 30 August 1975.
