Hiroshi Eguchi

Hiroshi Eguchi, Cleveland High School yearbook photoHiroshi Harry Eguchi was a freshman in 1941. He and his family were incarcerated in Puyallup and then Minidoka. Hiroshi Eguchi left Minidoka in January 1943 to attend Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. While at Carleton he participated in a rally protesting racial discrimination (Minidoka Irrigator 8/21/43). He would later attend Brigham Young University and Roosevelt College.

He served as a private in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team from 1945 to 1946. After the war he worked for more than 30 years at Boeing.

He married Emma and had three children: Mike, Mark and Marcia.

Hiroshi Harry Eguchi died on June 28, 2007.
